In partnership with FamilySearch International, the Cape Cod Genealogical Society meets each week at the Barnstable County Probate and Family Court to prepare probate records for scanning by FamilySearch staff. Once scanned, these documents are added to the digital archive of FamilySearch, making them available world-wide on the FamilySearch website. The work involves unfolding the records to prepare them for the scanner and refolding the documents for storage once the scanning has been completed. Volunteers are welcome. CONTACT us to volunteer.
