The Cape Cod Genealogical Society maintains a Research Center and Library located within the Dennis Public Library at 5 Hall Street, Dennis Port, MA 02639.
The Research Center is open to Members and the general public to assist you as you explore your family history. We maintain two computers equipped with membership to Ancestry.com, American Ancestors (NEHGS), FamilySearch, and Newspapers.com. We are an Affiliate Library with FamilySearch, giving us access to records beyond what you can access at home. We also have a state of the art Vivid-Pix scanner. You may bring documents, photographs, and books to scan to a flash drive you can keep for your archive. Drop-ins are welcome, but we encourage you to contact the Librarian for an appointment with one of our volunteers.
At this time, the Research Center is available on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and the second and fourth Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. Though drop–ins are welcome, please send an email to librarian@capecodgenealogy.org to be sure a volunteer will be on hand when you plan to come. Occasionally, life happens, and a volunteer may be unavailable.
