January 2026 Program Meeting – Public Event

Join us as we welcome Melanie McComb from American Ancestors. The topic for the program is “Constructing a Proof Argument”.

A genealogical proof argument is a detailed, written explanation of the evidence and reasoning used to establish a specific family relationship or fact, especially for complex cases where direct evidence is lacking or conflicting. Learn about constructing a proof argument for the conclusions of your research. Proof arguments are important for making a credible case as to why your work is valid.
